Intercultural team development and team building in international contexts
Collaboration in an international team is multifaceted, but not without its challenges. The different communication styles, the way conflicts are handled and the way in which employees from different countries of origin criticise and accept criticism can be so complex that projects come to a standstill and the interpersonal atmosphere in the team is affected. These disagreements are often due to a lack of awareness of cultural differences.
Intercultural team building aims to raise awareness of different perspectives and proactively tackle problems within the team. This is the only way to utilise these differences as an opportunity for good teamwork.
Our team building programme is aimed at anyone who wants to improve team cohesion in an international context. With a good mix of theoretical and interactive elements, all participants are involved and contribute with their personal concerns.
How does intercultural team building work?
The intercultural team development workshop contains elements of intercultural training and classic team building. However, it focusses more intensively on cooperation and the specific challenges in your team. The aim is to strengthen cohesion in teamwork.
The aim is to promote intercultural competence within the team. The development of intercultural competences requires openness towards other cultures, the willingness to learn and accept cultural differences, as well as the ability to question one’s own cultural perspective and empathise with the views of others.
Intercultural team building usually lasts one day. Depending on the supporting programme, it can also last longer and will be coordinated with you.
Further training programme for teams
In addition to a team-building programme, there are other training options for teams and individual team members.
We would be happy to advise you in an initial non-binding introductory meeting.
